Magento: Pros and Cons
Pros – A free community version with several premium services with the self-hosting feature embedded into it. Supports extensions and offers a wide variety of them too. It is the biggest and secure eCommerce platform and also allows the user to changes in coding according to their needs.
Magento has more server support for this reason, it has more stability and due to more server memory, it can handle the number of applications with various plugins.
It has mobile features, multi cross-selling and good product reviews. Coupons, discounts, newsletters, email templates are also present in them.
Cons – Magento is an expensive eCommerce platform. If your company has high revenue and spends then Magento is the right choice for you. Another disadvantage of Magento is that if you are not an expert of Magento then it is not easy to work or set up an online portal using Magento.
WooCommerce: Pros and Cons
Pros –If you are already a WordPress user then Woocommerce could be a good option for you starting an online store. It’s a completely free platform with our own web host and it’s a plugin of WordPress and you can easily install and access that beginners can start with this tool and it needs less server support and can easily be customizable from the WordPress framework.
WooCommerce is a free plugin for WordPress so one can simply install it and can ready to go. Some of the basic features might not be enough for everyone, so to take full advantage of its potential. WooCommerce is the most stable and it covers all extensions with a variety of features.
Cons – WooCommerce provide limited functions if you want more functions or extensions then you will have to pay.
Shopify: Pros and Cons
Pros – Shopify is also a good eCommerce software. It is an ideal platform if you’re a beginner. It has premium themes with SSL certificate with analytics system included PLUS Google Analytics integration.
Cons – It covers a hosting feature with its own sub-domain for all plans and one can also add their own custom subdomain name. But due to its budget, pricing and cost, it’s not easy to use and one cannot go. Shopify does not provide an open-source platform.
Prestashop: Pros and Cons
Pros – Prestashop also open-sources eCommerce platform which is completely free and give flexibility and speed. It is better for a small number of products store.
It provides great SEO options with advantages of URL rewriting, Google sitemaps. It offers dozens of themes with customizations providing on it.
Cons – It offers limited customization options. You need some technical expertise for this. There are no any official support teams for solutions.
Conclusion:
It depends all on the user’s requirements, Although WooCommerce and Magneto, Shopify and Prestashop have very tight competition. Considering all these above points taken from pricing to support, they all have very tough judgment. They both have their own innovative features. Both Magento and WooCommerce include some of the innovative features.But their user base might be different from each other. WooCommerce is quite safe to say that it is mainly designed for any types of businesses. And Magento is more popular among big companies because it is highly scalable making it perfect for the people who have big plans.
